Residence Hall Information - Bradley University, COVID-19 (sent to Students on 03/16/2020)

Thank you for your patience as we work through the many, many details related to Bradley’s response to COVID-19.  As pertaining to housing, please follow the guidance below depending on where you reside. These is also additional information at the end of the email.

Residence Halls, including Singles and College Hall

If you are able to return to your permanent residence, you must do so.  If you currently have approval to be on campus during Spring Break, this approval expires at 4PM on Wednesday, March 18.

We recognize some of you may have extenuating circumstances.  If this is true of your situation, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis so please follow the application process below. If you are not able to return to your permanent residence after this date, you must complete the approval process at https://apply.bradley.edu/register/sp20breakhousing by Wednesday, March 18 at 1PM.  You will be notified if you are approved by 3PM Wednesday, March 18.

All will have access to your hall/room to retrieve any items you may need on Friday, March 20, 1-10PM; Saturday, March 21, 8AM-10PM; Sunday, March 22, 8AM-10PM; Monday March 23, 1-10PM.  You may come and retrieve items, but are not allowed to stay overnight in your room.  You are not required to move completely out of your residence.

Any mail received on campus by Friday at 12PM will be available in your campus mailbox.  Any packages received on campus by Friday at 12PM will be available in your room.  The hall office will not be open and not available for package pick-up.  Students should discontinue ordering things to be sent to the residence halls; mail and packages received after Friday will be held until further notice. 

Dining Services will be available starting on Thursday, March 19.  Operations will be out of Williams Hall, starting with Breakfast from 8-9, Lunch 11:30-1:00, and Dinner 4:30-5:30.  All meals will be “to go” with sit down options not available.  Further information regarding dining will come directly to those who are approved for residence.

Student Apartment Complex, St. James and Main Street Commons (MSC)

If you are able to return to your permanent residence, we advise you to do so.  If you are unable to return to your permanent residence, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis and you must complete the approval process at https://apply.bradley.edu/register/sp20breakhousing by 1PM on Wednesday, March 18.  You will be notified if you are approved by 3PM Wednesday, March 18.

All will have access to your apartment to retrieve any items you may need on Friday, March 20, 1-10PM; Saturday, March 21, 8AM-10PM; Sunday, March 22, 8AM-10PM; Monday March 23, 1-10PM.  You may come and retrieve items, but are not allowed to stay overnight in your apartment.  You are not required to move completely out of your residence.

Greek Housing

Your local housing corporation and/or international organization may make the decision to completely close your chapter house and if that is the case, Bradley supports that decision.  You are not required to move completely out of your residence.  If your house is going to be completely closed and you have an extenuating circumstance where alternative housing is needed, please contact the housing office at housing@bradley.edu.

Access to your chapter house and room is left up to the individual chapter.

We have received many questions regarding housing and meal plan refunds.  There are many decisions that need to be made and among them, this is one.  Please be patient in our responsiveness to this question.
