COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Dear Bradley Community,

As you may be aware, the State of Illinois has approved anyone who falls into Phase 1A or 1B to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. For our campus community, this includes:

  • faculty and students in health care who work in a clinical setting
  • faculty and students in education who spend significant amounts of time in a K-12 setting
  • campus police

If you’re in any of the above categories, you should have received a link from the Peoria City/County Health Department to schedule your vaccination. If you believe you qualify, but haven’t received this link, please email covid19symptoms@fsmail.bradley.edu and explain why you believe you’re eligible.

Those over age 65 are part of Phase 1B and should anticipate an invitation from their primary health care provider or health care system.

Peoria county is currently receiving 2,000-3,000 vaccines per week and has 50,000+ residents who are now eligible. Additionally, the number of locations where vaccinations are administered continues to grow. The Peoria City/County Health Department asks for continued patience and not to contact them directly. As we receive updates from the Peoria City/County Health Department we’ll pass them along.

A reminder to those who have received vaccinations, you’re expected to continue to participate in all campus mitigation strategies, including masking, physical distancing, hand hygiene and asymptomatic testing. If CDC guidance changes in this regard, we’ll update accordingly.
