Campus Mask Mandate Changes Effective 2/28/22
On Feb. 28, Governor J.B. Pritzker will loosen statewide mask requirements. The CDC has indicated it is also planning to ease federal mask-wearing guidelines soon. Because of these factors and the trends in COVID-19 cases, we’re easing the campus mask requirements effective Feb. 28.
Effective Monday, Feb. 28, masks will only be required in the following areas:
- Classrooms and labs
- Health and Counseling Services
- BUPD Safety Cruiser
- University events where requested by speaker or performer
- In a private office or residence, if the occupants request it
We need to support individuals who choose to wear masks even where they aren’t required. Individuals should be comfortable wearing a mask and be free from pressures or harassment. Let’s continue to support each other as we navigate through these changes.
There continue to be N95 masks available at the Markin Center control desk, Student Center info desk, Bradley Health Services, Bradley Bookstore, and the library. Masks are available during regular business hours, which vary by location, while supplies last.
We will continue to monitor our campus and guidance from the CDC, IDPH, and other governing agencies regarding campus operations. Visit the Bradley Unite site for additional COVID-19 information.
