Bradley University Recommends Hollywood Semester Students Return to Permanent Addresses

The university strongly recommends you return to your permanent address and complete your studies online. As you may be aware, Bradley has extended Spring Break until March 27 and after this time all Hollywood classes will transition online for the rest of the semester.

In the interest of ensuring the health, safety and academic continuity, we strongly recommend you return home. You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements but please communicate such arrangements with me.  If there are extenuating circumstances where you may need to return to campus, please communicate with me and I will provide assistance with those campus processes.

Should you choose to remain in Hollywood, your AVA apartments and appropriate parking spots are guaranteed for your use until Thursday, May 7.

You will be able to complete classes online after your return home and your professors will be in contact with you regarding course information.   If you have not done so, please contact your internship supervisors to determine appropriate plans. Please be assured, Bradley and the Hollywood Semester faculty will work with you to complete all classes and to complete internship hours in an alternative format.   When you complete the coursework and assignments, whether at home or in LA, you will earn all the academic hours.

HOW TO GET TESTED FOR COVID-19

According to the California Department of Health, if you believe you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, you should call ahead to your health care provider. Describe your symptoms, and include whether or not you have come in contact with another person who could have been infected. Symptoms include: coughing, shortness of breath, and fever. Your health care provider will decide if testing is necessary, and whether treatment should be provided at the hospital, or if it can be completed at home. 

According to the CDC, advanced signs of illness, such as persistent pain or pressure on the chest, difficulty breathing, confusion or inability to arouse, or bluish lips or face, should seek immediate medical attention. Facemasks are only necessary if you are sick.
