All-Student Quarantine Reminders

Dear Students,

As we navigate this two week all-student quarantine, we first want to say thank you to those of you who are doing your part in keeping our campus safe. We appreciate your willingness to adapt and be part of the solution.

We all recognize quarantining can put a strain on your emotional and mental wellbeing. Lean on each other and keep and keep an eye on your friends and classmates. Do not hesitate to reach out to Counseling Services at (309) 677-2700 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays or call (309) 677-3200 after hours.

We do have a few updates and changes to our processes during this temporary quarantine that may impact you.

Library and other Study Spaces

We are launching a pilot program to see if we can keep the Cullom-Davis Library open during the quarantine period. The library will follow the pre-quarantine operations including requiring you to schedule your library seat reservation in advance. You can log on here and use the EMS system to reserve your seat(s). You must have your Bradley ID to enter the library and masks are required at all times while inside. Physical distancing will be monitored while you’re in the library; you may not move any library furniture. Be sure and read the library’s operational guidelines for full details.

If we are unable to maintain health and safety in the library, we will have to close it for the quarantine period. However, space will be available in the lower level of Michel Student Center for studying and participating in classes remotely. Please follow the capacity limits and if the room is full you must find another space.

No other spaces on campus will be accessible for study space during this quarantine period; only the library and the lower level of Michel Student Center will be open. Please be sure to follow these necessary guidelines so all students can use these resources.

We are still assessing the library’s hours and will communicate those with you soon.

Technology

If you are experiencing technology issues during this temporary remote learning period you should contact the IT Service Desk by calling 309-677-2964 or emailing servicedesk@bradley.edu

Q&A

Multiple campus leaders participated in a Q&A to answer some of your questions concerning the all-student quarantine. You can watch the video here. You may send your questions and concerns to COVID19concerns@bradley.edu and we will do our best to respond.

Dashboard

The COVID-19 dashboard has been modified to provide more up to date data. The number of daily positive on and off campus tests will be updated every weekday by 11:00 a.m. to reflect the previous day's data. You will still find the weekly and cumulative numbers regarding tests performed, positive cases, positivity rate, pending results and the students in isolation/quarantine.

Non-compliance Reporting

Thank you to everyone who is helping us to monitor the campus. You can continue to report concerning activity by emailing COVID19concerns@bradley.edu, filling out the noncompliance form online or if you need an immediate response contact 309-677-2000.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this together. We need to take these two weeks to reset our behaviors and do everything possible to change the trajectory of this virus on our campus. Remember, if we do not see progress during these two weeks, it will impact the rest of the semester, potentially causing us to go remote for the rest of the calendar year.

We will continue to provide updates and will communicate with your details regarding a return to face-to-face classes by Monday, Sept. 21.
