Statement on the COVID-19 Pandemic
As we begin the first day of classes and the beginning of the recruitment process, we, the Panhellenic Executive Board, are being reminded of how lucky we are to be back on campus. Whether a first-year student new to campus or a senior starting your final year, we know it’s not exactly what you’ve imagined.
We recognize that our members play a key role in either harming or helping control the spread of COVID-19. As President Standifird stated in his video this morning, “We need to work together to stay on campus...and support each other through this semester”. The Panhellenic Executive Board, by no means, supports any sort of social gathering taking place. We discourage all organizations from sponsoring, hosting, or participating in any social gatherings that do not comply with CDC, Illinois, and Bradley guidelines. Furthermore, we discourage any and all organizations from supporting organizations who do not comply with the social gathering guidelines. It is ever so important to be smart and aware of the decisions we are making on campus and in the world around us. All eyes are on the Bradley Greek community to see if it can withstand the test of time. Now is the time to focus on the bonds you’ve created to demonstrate the strength and benefits of belonging to a Greek organization. We are Panhellenic women. We are BradleyUnited.
Signed,
Executive Board of the Panhellenic Council of Bradley University,
Alyssa Schmidts, Natalie Weeber, Mary Keiley, Amanda Meyer, Hope Walsh, Kailey Hindes, Dana Balog, Anna Eklund, Copper Clark
