Gilman Scholarship

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program provides grants for U.S. undergraduate students receiving federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. Applicants must be in the process of applying to, or accepted to, a credit-bearing study abroad or internship program.

The program aims to encourage students to study and intern in diverse countries, areas and world regions. The program also encourages students to learn languages, especially critical need languages (those deemed essential to national security). Veterans of military service are encouraged to apply, and preference is given to veterans when other factors are equivalent.

Applications for the Gilman Scholarship are due very early in the spring semester.
