Sakai is a secure environment for online teaching and learning. Each Sakai course site is updated three times each day from the Registrar’s database to manage enrollments in course sites. Sakai can be used for posting and sharing:

  • Course information – Syllabus, course calendar and contact information.
  • Learning resources - Documents, PowerPoint slides, web sites and video links.
  • Communication and collaboration - Email, announcements, discussion forums, live chat, blogging, group projects, and schedules for advising.
  • Evaluations - assignments, plagiarism detection, tests, quizzes, surveys, grade books, end-of-term course evaluations.
