2021 Strategic Plan
In December 2020, President Stephen Standifird announced the launch of a strategic planning process with the goal of developing and approving a new plan by summer 2021. This plan, which will be narrower in scope than the 2017 Strategic Plan, will guide the direction of the university over the next three to five years. The 2021 Strategic Plan will align with Bradley’s prevailing mission, while setting forth an exciting strategic vision and a complementary set of goals and initiatives designed to meet the dynamic landscape of higher education in an ever-changing world. Dr. Christopher Jones, Vice President for Strategy and Innovation, will oversee the new strategic planning process.
After vetting a “draft process” with the Senior Leadership Team, Senate Executive Committee, University Senate, University Strategic Planning Committee, Council of Academic Deans, and Administrative Council, President Standifird officially finalized and approved the 14-step process on December 15, 2020.
In addition to the Board of Trustees, the process will engage six key strategic planning groups:
- Focus Group Conveners,
- “Strategic Profile” Faculty-Staff Team,
- “Environmental and Industry Analysis” Faculty-Staff Team,
- “Competitive Assessment” Faculty-Staff Team,
- University Strategic Planning Committee,
- and Strategic Leadership Group.
These six groups encompass 78 participants.
Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) theory will shape a market insights analysis, student focus groups, and the work of the faculty-staff teams. Two information sessions on this approach will be held and announced in the B-News.
Besides the market insights analysis, the strategic planning groups and members of the university community will have access to a number of other sources of information. These materials will be available on this site.
