Message from the President

November 18, 2013 - 4:10 p.m.

Dear Campus Community,

Today begins the rebuilding process for the many victims of the tornadoes that tore through Washington and surrounding areas yesterday. While our campus was spared any damage and University operations are functioning normally, we still are affected. Many members of our Bradley Family -- students, alumni, faculty and staff – are dealing with damaged homes and missing property. Several are unable to stay in their homes or have simply lost everything. The University sends its deepest, most heartfelt thoughts to all who were affected.

My office has received an outpouring of calls from people within the Bradley community wanting to help in the tornado cleanup and relief efforts. Staff members are working with local agencies to determine how best we can be of service, whether through raising funds, donating supplies or volunteering. Once these plans and opportunities are identified, we will communicate the specifics to you.

We have launched a website where you can find information on the relief efforts at Check often for updates to identify ways you can assist with coordinated relief efforts.

I thank you all for your compassion and concern during this time of great need.

With deep gratitude,

Joanne K. Glasser
