Bradley University Announces New Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing, Communications and Retention

Delorean “DJ” Menifee has accepted the position of vice president for enrollment, marketing, communications and retention at Bradley University.

Menifee will lead the integration of the Office of Marketing and Communications and the Office of Enrollment Management; he will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the university. Menifee will be instrumental in advancing Bradley's reputation, enhancing communication efforts and optimizing enrollment.

“It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to join the Bradley community in this capacity,” said Menifee. “I look forward to collaborating with all of my colleagues in support of charting our path forward in alignment with the university strategic plan.”

Menifee comes to Bradley from Susquehanna University, where he has served as vice president for enrollment since 2020. During his time at Susquehanna, Menifee built and led a high-functioning team of enrollment professionals through the coordination and development of annual plans that achieved increased applications for first-year students by 18%, while exceeding the enrollment and revenue goals of the university for fall 2022 and 2023. He also contributed to building and launching a new brand, building digital assets to tell the university story, and was instrumental in the successful launch of three new academic programs.

“I am thrilled to welcome a marketing and enrollment management professional of such high caliber to Bradley University,” said Bradley University President Stephen Standifird. “DJ has demonstrated an extensive track record of success, and will be a great champion for advancing the university’s strategic goals through his leadership of our enrollment, marketing, communication and retention efforts.”

Menifee is familiar with the Midwest; prior to his time at Susquehanna, he served in various admissions roles at Butler University, Knox College, Western Illinois University and Ball State University. He is an active member of the American Association for College Registrars and Admission Officers, an active member and former board director for the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and currently serves as a board director for Common App.

Menifee replaces Teri Lucie Thompson, interim vice president for marketing, communications and enrollment management. He will begin his new role Nov. 1, 2023.
