Bradley Symphony Orchestra

The Bradley Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will present its final concert of the school year. The program will feature the premiere of Dance of Embers by Bradley senior Dawson Ouellette and Kerry Walters singing “Deh vieni, non tardar” from Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Quando me’n vo’” from Puccini’s “La Boheme.” The remainder of the program will include Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Alexander Borodin’s Symphony No. 2. The BSO will be under the direction of music director Timothy Semanik. This concert is part of the Department of Music’s Music Scholarship Concert Series. Tickets are $10 (free for students) and are available at the door.

Piano Studio Recital

A group of Bradley piano students presents an extravaganza studio recital with a variety of solo pieces and ensembles from various composers. Performers include Naomi Hegarty, Carlos Lalonde, Seth Metcalfe, Adam Kunath, Denisha Luluquisin, Josephine Wenckus, Tanner Unruh and Helen Yoo. The recital features solo piano works by Chopin, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Muczynski and Joplin. The program also showcases a piano duo by Saint-Saens, Metcalfe’s original composition for piano six hands and Gillock’s piece for two pianos, eight hands. This recital is directed by Chee Hyeon Choi and Elizabeth Crecca and open to the public (free admission).

Bradley Chamber Music

A concert featuring student string and woodwind chamber music ensembles from Bradley’s Department of Music is free and open to the public. Featured ensembles are two string quartets, several string duos, a flute trio, and a trio for viola, clarinet and piano. Composers featured include Ludwig van Beethoven, Bedrich Smetana, Max Bruch, Jean-Marie Leclair, James Hook and more. Performing in the recital will be violinists Stephanie Cannon, Lasey Emmerich, Liam van der Bijl and Marcia Henry Liebenow; violists Katie O’Flynn and Corinne Scheidecker; cellists Emily Lucas and Alyson MacQuarrie; clarinetist Nathaniel Reginald; pianist Carlos Lalonde; and flutists Malayah Johnson, Madie Trolinger and Rachel Watson. The string chamber music ensembles are coached by Liebenow. Kyle Dzapo coaches the flute ensemble.
