Bradley University Joins Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network
Bradley University’s Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology has become one of the newest members of KEEN, the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network, a national partnership of engineering faculty focused on developing and promoting innovation in engineering education for the good of society.
KEEN is an expanding network of more than 50 partner colleges and universities across the United States with a shared vision of equipping engineering students with not only technical skills but an entrepreneurial mindset, empowering them to question, adapt and make positive change in the world around them.
“Being accepted into the KEEN network is a tremendous honor and opportunity for our engineering program,” said Molly Gribb, dean, Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology and Foster College of Business. “It is a testament to our commitment to providing a transformative education that equips all of our students with the skills, mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit needed to make a real impact in the world. We look forward to collaborating with and learning from other innovative educators in the KEEN community as we continue to push the boundaries of engineering and business education at Bradley.”
By providing a national platform for engineering faculty to share relevant best practices, course content modules and instructional innovations, the network seeks to prepare young engineers to make significant impacts in the world.

Together we are transforming engineering education with entrepreneurial mindset."
As part of the network, Bradley will benefit from the knowledge of other KEEN partners and share lessons learned from its own innovations. The Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology and the Foster College of Business look forward to sharing the successful convergence capstone project approach that brings together engineering and business students to create solutions with external partners. This year, for example, one student team is developing new drone architecture aimed at extending flight and loitering times to support a number of public safety applications.
