Biography

Margaret LeJeune joins the Department of Art and Design as an Assistant Professor of Art - Photography. Before coming to Bradley University, Ms. LeJeune served as an Assistant Professor of Art at Lyon College. She has also taught at Monroe Community College, State University of New York at Brockport, and has international teaching experience in Egypt, France, and The Netherlands. Ms. LeJeune received her MFA in Photography/Visual Studies from Visual Studies Workshop and her B.S. in Studio Art from Nazareth College of Rochester. LeJeune’s photographic imagery explores issues of constructed gender, power dynamics, and representation. Her work has been widely exhibited, in both juried and invitational exhibitions, at numerous museums and galleries including The Griffin Museum of Photography, The Center for Fine Art Photography, Newspace Gallery, Workspace Gallery, Morean Arts Center, and the Cander Field Museum. Her series Modern Day Diana has been featured on Slate.com and Actuphoto.com. She is an active member of the Society for Photographic Education.
