Biography
In her graduate work, Ms. Moon utilized molecular techniques to investigate the mating system of the threatened gopher tortoise. Teaching undergraduate students has been the focus of her career.She is especially passionate about helping new majors and non-majors discover the joy of science and biology.
Teaching
Courses taught by Ms. Moon at Bradley University include Genetics Lab (BIO 311), Diseases of Life (BIO 101), and Molecules to Cells Lab (BIO152).Prior to Bradley, she taught a wide range of classes including non-major courses in extinction and biological principles, majors’ courses in general biology and in biological writing, honors biology courses, and a variety of laboratory courses (general biology, genetics, ecology, herpetology, and anatomy and physiology).Shehas co-authored two lab manuals and was awarded a teaching excellence award.
