Biography
Saratu Terreno is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University where he has been a faculty member since 2020. She also serves as the Director of Engineering Labs for the Caterpillar College of Engineering.
Saratu completed her Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University and her Masters in Construction Project Management at the Heriot-Watt University in Dubai, UAE. Her research interests lie in the area of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), ranging from Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) to robotics for Martian Habitats.
Saratu serves as an instructor for graduate and undergraduate courses in Construction Management such as Construction Estimating, Construction Materials and Methods, Construction Scheduling and Project Management. She incorporates active learning pedagogies to facilitate the Entrepreneurial Mindset in learning.
