Biography

Dr. Wang joined the Bradley faculty in Fall 2017 as an Assistant Professor of Communication. She received her Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Washington State University and M.A. in Advertising from Xiamen University.

Her research aims to understand how individuals process mediated messages. More specifically, this line of research focuses on the way people attend to, remember, and evaluate mediated content, and it utilizes a particular methodology, relying on controlled experiments and psychological measures taken during viewing for gathering information about these mental processes. Her research has been published in flagship communication journals such as Health Communication, Media Psychology, and Communication Research. Beyond her research, Grace has taught advertising writing, creative strategy, communication theory and research method courses at the undergraduate level. Prior to her doctoral program, she has worked as an assistant copy writer at a local Chinese advertising agency, and interned at the media center of United Daily News (Taipei) and the China News Agency (Xiamen).
