Biography

Dr. Beto (Robert) Davison Avilés is Latino and bilingual, born in Nogales AZ, to Mexican immigrant parents. His undergraduate degree in psychology is from the University of Arizona and his masters and doctorate in counseling psychology are from Lehigh University.  Dr. Davison Avilés specializes in multicultural/diversity issues in counseling and school counseling (including higher education) and minority career development.  He is past-president of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development and past chair of the ACA Human Rights Committee Dr. Davison Avilés is an associate professor and advises primarily school counseling program masters students in the Department of Education, Counseling and Leadership at Bradley University.
