Biography

In her current role as Licensure Officer, Colleen works to ensure that teacher candidates enrolled in the University’s state-approved programs meet all requirements for an Illinois Professional Educator License.  She also certifies professional school counselors and administrators.  Additionally, Colleen acts as liaison to the Illinois State Board of Education and is responsible for mandated state and federal reporting.

Evaluation of assessment plans and data collection is an ongoing process.  As the Assessment Coordinator, Colleen's primary responsibility is to collect and disseminate data throughout the academic year.  The collected data is used for decision-making that ultimately leads to program improvements, facilitating student success.

College LiveText is a department-wide requirement for all teacher certification areas.  Colleen assists teacher education majors in putting their targeted assignments in LiveText and reporting student achievement in specific assignments.
