Biography
A native of India, Dr. Thomas Palakeel joined the English department in 1993. He earned undergraduate degrees in English and American literature from Loyola College, Chennai and St. Thomas College, Pala, India, and a Master of Fine Arts in fiction from Eastern Washington University. At Bradley, he teaches fiction, screenwriting, argumentative writing, British Literature and Literatures of Asia. His fiction and non-fiction have appeared in several anthologies and in Journal of Modern Literature, Manoa, Short Story International, North Dakota Quarterly, Yatra, and the Christian Science Monitor. His current research and writing interests include postcolonial literature, lyric poetry, the English Renaissance, Buddhist literature and Malayalam language. Dr. Palakeel is the coordinator of Ballowe Personal Essay contest.
