Biography
Lynette Fernandes was born in India, but she grew up in Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. She returned to India to do her Bachelors in Information Technology. She then moved to the United States where she pursued her Master's in Information Technology with a concentration in Game Design at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.
After a small stint working at Kodak in Rochester, she moved to Reno, Nevada, where she worked as a software engineer at International Game Technology (IGT) for 6 years making casino slot machine games. She has worked on titles like Avatar, Ghostbusters, Elvis, Betty White and more. After this Lynette moved to Seattle, Washington to work at a similar, smaller company, Double Down Interactive, where the focus was online social slot machine games. She
continued this for 6 years before a desire to change things up.
In 2021, Lynette accepted the position of Instructor in Residence at Bradley University where she teaches students the art of coding and using game engines like Unity. She also teaches Game Design concepts and Game Production classes.
Apart from her work at Bradley, Lynette is very involved in the community and is on the Board of several non-profits. She loves engaging in and supporting local events, fundraisers, and businesses. Lynette is a big believer in personal and community growth.
