Concentration in Business Law
The concentration in business law prepares you for a career navigating legal, compliance and regulatory issues within businesses.
Preparing You For Success
Businesses and nonprofits face a complex regulatory and legal environment, which creates strong demand for employees with foundational knowledge of the law. Management and Leadership courses, along with Business Law courses, give you a foundation in rules, regulations, and ethics that affect real estate, business structure, securities regulation, employment, and other financial matters. To complete the degree, you’ll complete a consulting project for a local business or nonprofit organization.
By the time you graduate, your experiences may include:
- Professional development and networking through Phi Chi Theta honor society and student organizations like Women in Business
- Mentoring relationships with faculty who are active in the business community
- Internships with local law firms
Making Your Mark
Business law majors are valued in businesses and nonprofit organizations that face legal issues in areas such as human resources, personnel, government relations, intellectual property, and contract negotiations. All recent Bradley graduates found jobs or continued to graduate school within six months of graduation. They're working for startup businesses and consulting firms. Others are continuing their education at prestigious law schools across the country.
