BUBAA President's Letter

Hello BUBAA Family,

I hope you had a great kick-off to this New Year. It’s time for new ideas, endeavors, and opportunities to engage with BUBAA.

Back by popular demand, our #BlackLoveAtBradley campaign will return this month on our social media platforms. This campaign was created to acknowledge our BUBAA members that share experience of not only being students at Bradley University but, also, by finding love on the hilltop. We are excited to celebrate and promote the power of Black Love.

As we celebrate the history, culture, and movement of African Americans, I ponder the accomplishments of Blacks at Bradley then and now. Our history is so rich and our contributions stretch so far. I am honored to say I was Black at Bradley. We have a special culture at Bradley that cannot be denied or overlooked. Our alumni base consists of the cream of the crop, the movers and shakers, agents of change, and pillars within our community. I want to thank our alums for your consistent contribution to the students, BUBAA, and the world. We are a force to be reckoned with. This is why we stand BUBAA Proud. Never forget how important each of you are to BUBAA and the next generation of emerging leaders.

Speaking of the next generation, BUBAA is continuing to aid in providing BU students with the opportunity to maximize their potential. We are not investing just with our words but with our money as well. Every financial investment, no matter the size, makes a difference.

When contributing to the University, please note that you want your contribution to go BUBAA Scholarships or the Barbara Penelton Endowed Scholarship. You can make your contribution at https://campaign.bradley.edu/campaign/?S=bubaa.

Remember, your input is always appreciated and valued. Please feel free to reach out to me with your thoughts, ideas, and comments to bubaa.info@gmail.com.

Stay Safe, Stay Informed, Stay #BUBAAProud
