World of Wonder takes over campus

World of Wonder 2013

June 17, 2014

More than 150 children in grades 1 through 8 are experiencing a "World of Wonder" this week at Bradley University. WOW, a week-long series of programs for gifted and talented youth, offers dozens of classes including LEGO Lab, How Sweet It Is, Ghost Hunting, Inventions in Action, Super Science, Creative Cooking, Grossology, and much more.

Classes take place in Westlake Hall on campus. Some of the best photo/video opportunities will take place on Wednesday and Thursday between 10:15 and noon and 1:30 and 3 p.m. Contact the Office of Public Relations at 677-2242 or 677-3260 to arrange interviews with teachers and participants.

Since 1983, the Bradley University Institute for Gifted and Talented Youth and its predecessor, the Peoria County Foreign Language Immersion Program, have offered summer educational program opportunities for Central Illinois youth. The Institute's summer program, World of Wonder (WOW), features a broad array of one-week courses, which enables first through eighth grade students to explore and expand their interests and abilities in a university environment.
