November 8, 2021
Alison Morrissey, the associate vice president for advancement at Bradley University, is a passionate philanthropist and, as a professional fundraiser, encourages others to be as well. Her efforts are now being recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Illinois Chapter through the organization's Ian T. Sturrock Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award. The annual award recognizes an outstanding individual fundraising executive who practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner.
Morrissey joined Bradley in 2014 and hit the ground running. In her position, she leads Bradley's Division of Advancement Services, the Bradley Fund and the Office of Constituent Relations.
"In her role on the leadership team for our division, Alison has shown continued support and guidance through our daily operations, special projects, new software implementation, the integration of a new CRM, as well as the onboarding of each new member of our team," shared her nominator. "She always provides valuable guidance alongside compassion. Alison is very successful in her position and respected by all who work with her and for her."
In addition to her responsibilities at Bradley, Morrissey sits on the boards of Peoria's Community Workshop and Training Center, Goodwill and the Bradley University Hillel. She also volunteers for the Heart of Illinois United Way and the Jewish Federation of Peoria. Last but not least, understanding the importance of fundraising herself, she always makes sure to financially support each of these organizations.
