Bradley University's Illinois Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) at the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship has provided business counseling and support to entrepreneurs and existing businesses since 1985. The Center offers no-cost resources to help solve business-related problems.

Breaking into Government Contracting

Are you contemplating selling to the government? The Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at Bradley University wants this marketplace to be as accessible as possible. As a result, we’re offering this webinar for those newly considering government contracting. The content will enhance your basic understanding of the procurement process and introduce resources to help you determine if this customer is a good fit for your business. We’ll discuss our no-cost bid matching service, necessary vendor registrations (at all governmental levels- SAM, IPG, etc.) and tools such as small business certifications that can help you succeed. Starting Your Business in Illinois Workshop

"Let's Do Business": Government Friendly Capability Statements

In recognition of National PTAC Day, the Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center will offer a live virtual webinar for you to learn the importance of a concise Capability Statement, a profile of your business's core competencies, specific areas of experience, and expertise that relate to projects or agencies, as well as differentiators that set your company apart. Your Capabilities Statement is a reflection of your company, your services and your customer knowledge. During this webinar, we'll talk about best practices and what your capabilities statement SHOULD include in a one-page format. Creating a Mobile Food Business

The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bradley University is offering this in-person training at no cost to attendees to help them understand the requirements and business planning necessary to launch a mobile food business. Our speakers will provide information to help you become better prepared with the processes of launching your mobile food venture and answer your questions such as: Do you know all the licenses and approvals needed to operate a mobile food vehicle in the City of Peoria?, What’s my first step in developing a mobile food vehicle?, Who do I need licenses from to operate my mobile vehicle? and much more.
