Bradley Named Among Nation's Best for Student Engagement

September 5, 2019

Bradley is once again the top-ranked school in Illinois among private institutions for student engagement. The high marks are from the fourth annual Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (WSJ/THE) 2020 College Rankings.

“Bradley prides itself on experiential learning and student engagement,” said Provost Walter Zakahi. “Our students are involved in internships and co-op experiences, service-learning initiatives, capstone projects and many other curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities. We also provide them with opportunities that emphasize real-world learning in ways that go beyond a textbook or a classroom."

Based on 15 factors in four main categories (outcomes, engagement, resources and environment), the WSJ/THE surveyed over 174,000 current U.S. students. Using additional data from government and other sources, the survey’s focus is to determine how well colleges prepare students for life after graduation. The full rankings are available at the WSJ.
