UPDATED: 2/17/22 at 4:15 a.m. — Due to another winter storm bringing freezing rain and significant snowfall throughout the day, Bradley University will be CLOSED today, Thursday, Feb. 17.

All scheduled on-campus classes are canceled. The decision to cancel classes instead of going remote is due to the timeframe in which this decision was made. All previously scheduled online programs will continue.

Key support staff (food service, police, facilities) should report as they are able. All other employees, regardless of work location, should not report to work Thursday.

Due to the icy conditions of the campus, most campus facilities will be closed during this time except for residence halls, residential dining halls, and the campus police department. This means academic buildings, the Markin Center, library, bookstore, Bradley Health Services and student center will all be closed.

  • Center Court is open 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Williams Cafeteria will be open for lunch and dinner.
  • Geisert Cafeteria will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

Students, faculty and staff must move their vehicles from all surface parking lots (including the St. James Apartment complex) and roadways to facilitate snow removal. Both campus parking decks will be open and available for student and employee use. An Emergency Declaration has been signed by the city of Peoria banning parking on all streets so plows and emergency vehicles can have access.

We expect to return to regular operations on Friday. Further updates will be posted online at bradley.edu. Please take the necessary precautions and stay safe during this time and avoid unessential travel. Please use extreme caution as you move about due to ice, snow, and high winds.
