A National Record-Setting Weekend for Bradley's Sales Team
March 14, 2022
With another first-place finish in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC), Bradley becomes the first team in the country to win back-to-back team championships. More than 65 universities competed in this year's NCSC, which was held March 4-7 at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Bradley students Pooja Chafekar and Chelsea Russell were standouts as well.
Russell reached the competition quarterfinals and Chafekar earned first place in the individual category, becoming the first two-time winner of the individual student competition. The Bradley Sales Team has now won three NCSC championships, more than any other university in the country. Since first participating in the event in 2004, Bradley has compiled an impressive record of multiple top-10 finishes and numerous individual awards.
This year's winning sales team consists of (pictured L to R):
- Anna Eklund — senior marketing major, alternate
- Chelsea Russell — senior marketing major, competitor
- Pooja Chafekar — senior marketing major, competitor
- Bailey Beason — senior communication major, alternate
- Brad Eskridge — faculty member, team coach
"I am beyond proud of this team," said Eskridge. "They're objectively the most successful group of sales competition students we've ever had, and I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to work with each of them. Collectively, they were never satisfied with 'good enough' and built upon the foundation laid by all of our incredible Bradley sales team alumni."
The NCSC provides an opportunity for dedicated collegiate sales students to improve their skills and pursue career opportunities with top professional sales organizations. During the multiple-round event, students complete a series of role-plays and progress through competitive brackets, with the top four individuals and top ten teams earning recognition.
