MSN, Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist – OSF St. Francis College of Nursing
BSN, Bradley University

Biography

My focus of nursing has been primarily in pediatrics (PICU, diabetes, and asthma) and OB. I have spent time with inpatient and outpatient management, leadership roles, and case management. My passions with pediatrics are with the chronic illness model and developing child/family rapport as they grow with their disease.

Hobbies

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family. Our son and daughter live close, and my high school sweetheart husband and I love spending time with our two grandchildren. When we are not with family, you will find us entertaining our 4-legged children – long-haired dachshunds. Over the years, we have rescued 7 dachshunds and there will most certainly be more. I enjoy playing my French horn, reading, scrapbooking, and traveling to try new foods, wineries and distilleries.

Teaching

Currently teaching Nursing research and Simulation for Pediatrics and OB. I like to make learning for the students fun and practical.
