Overview: A campus-wide scheduling and calendaring project that will replace multiple scheduling methods. Initial focus on academic and event scheduling.
Overview: Design and build new facilities for WCBU, while keeping the radio station on the air. This is the major project and others will be put on hold until WCBU moves. Fundraising projects will continue during preparation for the move as we assist with the technical requirements associated with moving the radio station before Jobst Hall is torn down.
Overview: The FCC has mandated that WTVP move from digital channel 46 to channel 35. That will require hiring a tower crew to replace the antenna, waveguide that carries the signal up the tower and replacing the transmitter. This will be about $1.6M project. WCBU-FM will be affected because their antenna is located on top of the same tower. WCBU will have to shut down their broadcast transmitter while tower crews work on top of the tower.
Overview: An evaluation is underway to determine the feasibility of replacing all university-owned computers on a scheduled cycle. A complementary project is to identify tools to automatically detect all endpoints on the campus network for purposes of managing asset inventory, system updates, and security patches.

BEC and Faculty Development Classroom
A prototype of the new high-tech classrooms featured in the Business Engineering Complex was built in Morgan Hall to provide a space for experimenting with new pedagogies and technology in advance of the BEC being opened. This space allows faculty members to teach in an active learning style with advanced audio visual technology and try active teaching strategies with their classes and provides a space for workshops to be held to share teaching strategies. This space also allowed the opportunity to prototype this room design prior to plans being finalized for the BEC.
