Biography
Bill Duncan is an audio engineer with over 25 years of experience in professional audio recording. He is the owner of Cedar Hills Sound in Dunlap, Illinois. Bill is certified in Pro Tools through Berklee College of Music and earned his audio engineering certification from The Recording Workshop. He is also a past member of the Audio Engineering Society. For the past ten years, Bill has taught live sound production and recording techniques at Illinois Central College’s Performing Arts Center. He has produced live sound and recordings for many jazz artists including Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band, Julian Lage, Gretchen Parlato, Matt Wiilson, Maria Schneider, Noah Preminger, Eric Alexander, Linda May, Han Oh, Ben Williams, Greg Ward, Mark Guiliana, Doug Stone, Anat Cohen, and Brianna Thomas. In addition, Bill has recorded a number of symphony orchestras including the Knox-Galesburg Symphony, the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. He has also worked with many of the area’s most noted blues and rock acts.
