Assistant Resident Advisor

Thank you for your interest in being an Assistant Resident Advisor (ARA) at Bradley University. Our Residential Living and Student Conduct Department is now accepting Assistant Resident Advisor applications for Spring 2023.

New ARA staff members are required to attend a mandatory Staff Training which starts January 12 - 18, 2023. New staff members are also required to be available for all of move-in weekend in January.

Applications should be submitted by October 12, 2022.

We have a great tradition of excellence in our residence halls. Assistant Resident Advisors are an essential part of the on-campus experience and our Residential Living team. As an ARA, you will have the opportunity to build leadership skills, nurture a community of Braves, and develop skills that will be transferable long beyond your years on the Hilltop. We are looking for individuals who are committed to building community, developing inclusive environments, and serving as a resource for their fellow students. We are excited that you are interested in our selection process.

The ARA process consists of submission of an ARA application by the applicant and an employer reference form completed by a current or former employer. Following the completion of these forms, the applicant will be asked to schedule two interviews: The Structured Interview and Group Interview.

Structured Interview

In late October, the applicant will receive an email invitation to schedule an interview with one of our Hall Director Teams. The Structured Interview is held with two Hall Directors and the applicant. This interview is only conducted on November 5th and lasts approximately 30 - 40 minutes. No missed interviews will be rescheduled.

Group Interview

In late October, the applicant will receive an email invitation to schedule an interview with a Hall Director Panel and group of fellow applicants. This interview is only held November 4 from 4 - 8 pm and lasts 30 - 40 minutes. No missed interviews can be rescheduled.
