CHM 699 - Thesis

All MS students must write a thesis based on independent research and present a public seminar detailing the accomplishments of his/her thesis research. The final version of thesis must conform to the requirements outlined by the department and on the Graduate School website. Typically, students enroll in the course in the semester they intend to submit their thesis. Zero credit course graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Prerequisite: 6 hours of CHM 697 with grades of B or better.

Bradley’s chemical engineering program develops your chemistry expertise and introduces you to engineering principles to prepare you for a career as an industrial chemist or to pursue a graduate degree.
The degree gives you a solid foundation in chemistry and a mastery of basic engineering principles. You’re exposed to collaborative faculty-led research as a first-year student, and you will use state-of-the-art instrumentation throughout your academic career. Plus, there are internship opportunities with a variety of industrial facilities and government and hospital labs in the Peoria area. In addition, you can earn a general degree in chemistry, a chemistry high school teacher education degree, a concentration in chemistry pre-med, a concentration in chemistry business or a concentration in chemistry-pre pharmacy.
Bradley’s chemical engineering program successfully prepares you to enter the workforce or graduate school. In recent years, all graduates from the department have found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation.
