Bradley Choirs
- All ensembles are open to all students regardless of major.
- Ensembles are free of charge – this means that you can take a full load of classes (16 credit hours), and then when the music ensemble pushes you over 16 hours, you can earn the extra credit at no charge
- Ensembles generate credit toward graduation – for that free hour, you are earning credit toward graduation
- There are scholarships – $200 to $500 a year for Chorale
Large Ensembles
Auditions are held the Tuesday before classes start. Audition Requirements are posted on the sign-up sheet.
Bradley Chorale
Monday - Friday
12 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.
1 credit hour
Auditioned, group of about 52 singers. The mixed touring-choir at Bradley. Chorale embraces the unique spirit and diverse color palate of each singer in exploring music of all genres and stylistic performance practices. We are headed to Prague on tour next summer.
Women’s Choir
Monday and Wednesdays
12 p.m. - 12:50 p.m.
1 credit hour
Auditioned, group of about 40 singers. Performs music written especially for treble voices in an atmosphere of collegial music making.
Community Choir
Wednesdays
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
5 credit hours
Hearings are Wednesday, August 28th (first rehearsal) at 5:45 p.m. in Olin Hall 164.
Auditioned, group of 60-80 singers. Members consist of students, Bradley alum, faculty, and community members who are life-long musicians. Often performs with the Bradley Symphony Orchestra.
Small Ensembles
Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Tuesdays
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Auditioned, group of 12-16 singers. Performs both standard and contemporary jazz music, both acapella and with a jazz combo. If you are a music major, you must also be in a large ensemble in order to participate in this ensemble.

Opera Ensemble
Tuesday and Thursdays
3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Auditioned, group size varies depending on the work/s performed. Designed to develop performing skills in the field of opera, an opportunity often reserved for graduate students in larger universities. Auditions held in the late fall.

Auditioned, 8-18 singers that is student-led. Co-ed acapella group that performs on and off campus throughout the year.

All-Campus Men’s Sing
Non-auditioned, come as you are. Happens twice a year to get all of the men on campus singing. Correspondence will be sent out next year to the entire campus.
