Protecting the Illinois River--A Time for Action
Join a collaborative group of federal and state governmental officials, along with all Illinois River stakeholders, for a great program that will include:
- A look at the progress that has been made in the Illinois River Watershed over the last decade
- A look at the Everglades restoration project and how the Illinois River restoration project can follow this national model
- A framework for a coordinated federal and state legislative strategy for pursuing the $1.72 billion in ecosystem restoration monies authorized under the Water Resource Development Act which passed Congress in an overwhelmingly bipartisan manner
