Robert Bolla, Ph.D.  joined Bradley in 2004 as Associate Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School.  He currently is serving as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  In this position he is responsible for the academic mission of the university, including information technology and the library, the Institute for Principled Leadership, Study Abroad, and Continuing Education.  Dr. Bolla also oversees the Intellectual Property portfolio and technology transfer for Bradley and is responsible for the Peoria Next Innovation Center and the Bradley Technology Commercialization Center.  Before coming to Bradley he was Dean of Arts and Sciences at Youngstown State University.  He had a 25 year academic teaching and research career in St. Louis where he was Chair of Biology at St. Louis University, and where he held research and teaching positions at St. Louis University School of Medicine, Washington University Medical School, the University of Missouri St. Louis, and the Missouri Botanical Garden.  He is a member of the Board of Director of the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is on the finance committee.  He received his Ph.D. in Zoology in 1971 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  Dr. Bolla and his wife Terese live in Edwards, IL.
