Family Weekend 2015: September 18 - 20


Family Weekend Registration is now open. If you would like to get discounted tickets in advance for any of the ticketed events (indicated by a "$"), you can purchase them by calling 309.677.3050.  If you plan on just attending the free events, there is no need to register with our office ahead of time.

Friday, September 18

7:00-9:00pm Family Game Night with the Peer Mentors
Spend the evening playing games with families and Peer Mentors in the Romeo B. Garret Cultural Center.

Student authors will share pieces they have authored and discuss their book making process. 

7:00-10:00pm Dueling Piano's, Hayden Clark Alumni Center
The brothers of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity invite you to kick back and relax with the Midwest Dueling Piano Company. Kick off the weekend with a fun and interactive musical experience that’s sure to get you on your feet. Request ANY song, sing along, and even perform onstage.That’s right, even artists like LilWayne can be played on the piano. Snacks and Drinks provided. Cash Bar Available. All tips will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. 

8:00pm Inside Out, Marty Theatre (Lower Level Michel Student Center) $
ACBU Cinema is proud to present Inside Out for Family Weekend! In this Disney-Pixar animated feature, emotions run wild in the mind of a little girl who is uprooted from her peaceful Midwest life for a move to San Francisco. As Riley prepares to navigate a new life, her emotional headquarters become a hot bed of activity.Tickets are $2 for public; cash and QuickCash only. Pre-sales are not available for this event.

Saturday, September 19

8:00am-Noon Pancake Breakfast at Williams Hall Cafeteria $
The Bradley Fellows invite you to all you care to eat pancakes for a good cause! Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door. Proceeds benefit Easter Seals.

9:00am Hilltop Trot Family Weekends 5K Race $
Trek through campus in this annual 5K Run & 1 mile walk. Early Bird Register online at www.hilltoptrot.com until September 4th. This event benefits the Bradley Department of Physical Therapy. This event is held in conjunction with ShaZam Racing, and Running Central.

9:00am-Noon Bradley Farmer's Market and Bazaar $
Head over to Founder's Circle and check out the local produce vendors, artisans, and Student Organizations. They will be bringing out their best for you to browse and shop. Free Inflatables, a Petting Zoo, Balloon Artist and more will be on hand!

The Library is selling un-needed donations and weeded items from the library's collection.  Includes DVDs, CDs, LPs and others. 

1:00-2:30pm Haunted Peoria Bus Tour - SOLD OUT!
Discover the stories behind the ghostly appearances that have startled and puzzled Peorians through the years. Guided by the Peoria Historical Society, this tour runs approximately 90 minutes and it sold out last year! Tickets: $5. Preregistration is required due to limited availability. Bus Tour departs from in front of the Michel Student Center.

Did your son or daughter join a Fraternity or Sorority? Take some time to swing by for an open house and meet the men and women that they are now calling brothers or sisters! The following groups have confirmed they will be hosting open houses:

Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity

4:00-6:00pm Pre-Game BBQ Picnic & Tailgate $
The Bradley Parent Association would like to invite you to the Hayden Clark Alumni Quad for an old fashioned BBQ. Enjoy a pre-game Texas BBQ, complete with Brisket, Pulled Pork BBQ, Kaiser Buns, RoastedVegetables, Baked Beans, Southern Cole Slaw, Homemade Potato Chips, Assorted Cookies, Lemonade and Iced Water. Rain Location: Hayden Clark Alumni Center. Tickets: $7 before September 17, $10 on the day of the event

6:00pm Cram the Coliseum - Bradley Volleyball vs. DePaul $
Head over to the Coliseum to cheer on the Bradley Braves and enjoy in-game promos, concessions specials and more! Have a younger sibling coming? Joining the Little Braves Club for FREE will get children in 8th grade and younger free admission and a Little Braves Club T-shirt! http://bit.ly/LittleBraves. Tickets: $3 in advance, $6 at the game. Students are free with Bradley ID.

Sunday, September 20

9:00-11:30am Family Weekend Send Off $
Join Bradley Fraternities and Sororities in the Student Center Ballroom for breakfast before you hit the road and head back home. Enjoy the all you care to eat Waffle Bar complete with toppings,sausage links, orange juice and coffee! Tickets: $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Proceeds benefit Circle of Sisterhood and the Boys and Girls Club of Peoria.
