Welcome to Bradley University!
As you prepare for orientation, the rest of the summer, and coming to Bradley – where am I going to live is likely one of those important questions you want answered. Below is a listing of Frequently Asked Questions to help you with this process.
You will receive more detailed information at orientation and you will receive your housing assignment for the fall on or before August 10th.
Frequently Asked Questions
Housing Preferences
https://admissions.bradley.edu/ssl/yourbradley/ - log in to yourBradley. In here you can make preferences for what building you would like to live in, fill out the roommate survey, and make a roommate request.
Yes, you need to make a housing deposit of $100 before you can access any of the housing information. Most likely, you have already done this when you made the initial deposit to the University. If you have access to the housing information, you have made your housing deposit.
Preference order is determined by your housing deposit date. The earlier this date, the more likely it is you will receive your first preference in a residence hall.
You can go in to yourBradley and make as many changes as you would like to your preferences and it does not change your housing deposit date. Your housing deposit date is already locked in.
Special requests can be made at yourBradley in the field marked special requests. Please be brief while typing in this field.
As many times as you would like; the housing program will lock you out on August 1st. After this date, you will no longer be able to make changes. We’ve got to get to work, quickly, to finalize your assignment!
Halls
All of the halls are co-ed. Men and women are divided by floors; meaning all women on one floor and all men on other floors.
Heitz Hall, University Hall, and Wyckoff Hall
Geisert Hall is about 50-50 mix of freshmen and upperclass students.
Harper Hall is about 25-75 mix of freshmen and upperclass students.
Williams Hall is completely full of returning students (maybe next year you can live there)
No, unless a documented medical condition requires a single room.
Yes, bon appétit! http://www.bradley.edu/foodservice/
Roommates
In almost every case yes; we work very hard to accommodate all roommate requests. Unfortunately, there are instances where we are not able to do so.
Yes! Please have both roommates go in to yourBradley and request each other as roommates. Please include the full name of your request. You’d be surprised by how many Steve’s go to school here.
Students are assigned roommates by their request or by filling out the roommate survey located at yourBradley. We do not guarantee students can find roommates based off the same major; however, if this is important to you, put it in the special request field and we’ll try to find someone else with the same request.
Assignments
On or around August 10th. We work very quickly in early August to fill all of the requests.
It will be sent to you on-line and then you’ll log in to receive all of the information.
Your Bradley e-mail address – XXX@bradley.edu. Get used to checking it; this is the way many university people will communicate with you.
Since about 50% of our students find roommates during orientation, we wait for orientation session #12 to be completed and then get to work. It would be unfair to do assignments any earlier than this. Yes, many schools do their housing placements earlier…we don’t. We take great pride in the personal touch at Bradley and this is just one example of it.
