Two Bradley Fraternities Earn National Honors

Bradley University is celebrating the achievements of two of its fraternities, each recognized with their international organization’s highest honor for excellence.

Sigma Nu Fraternity has been awarded the Rock Chapter Award, the highest distinction granted to collegiate chapters that have achieved sustained excellence in all areas of chapter operations. To earn this honor, chapters must demonstrate an ideal, or nearly perfect, level of performance across a broad range of operations, and maintain that excellence for more than two years.

“Earning the Rock Chapter Award is an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects the sustained dedication, discipline, and strong leadership within Bradley’s Sigma Nu chapter,” said Nathan Thomas, Bradley’s Vice President of Student Affairs. “Maintaining excellence over multiple years is no small task, and this honor is a testament to their commitment to living out Sigma Nu’s values while contributing in meaningful ways to our campus and the broader community.”

Delta Upsilon Fraternity has been named a 2025 Sweepstakes Award Winner, the top honor presented by Delta Upsilon International Fraternity to its most outstanding chapters across the country. This award recognizes excellence in areas including academics, member development, alumni engagement, community impact, recruitment, associate member education, and health and safety. Bradley’s chapter is one of only five to receive the award this year.

“This is a remarkable achievement, and we’re proud of the leadership Bradley’s Delta Upsilon Chapter has put in to uphold not only DU’s high standards, but also Bradley’s commitment to leadership, character, and community,” said Thomas. “Being named a 2025 Sweepstakes Award winner highlights their hard work, integrity, and the positive impact they continue to make on our campus and in the community.”

The accomplishments of Sigma Nu and Delta Upsilon reflect Bradley University’s strong tradition of fostering leadership, academic excellence, and service among its students. Both fraternities continue to make a lasting impact on the university community and beyond.
