Bradley Announces Master’s Degree Pathway Partnership with Syracuse University’s Top-Ranked Maxwell School

March 24, 2026

Bradley University has finalized a new Professional and Executive Master’s Degree Pathway Partnership with The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, the nation’s top-ranked school for public affairs.

Ranked #1 in Public Affairs for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report, The Maxwell School has led the field for three decades. Now, Bradley students and alumni will have a direct pathway to seven highly respected graduate programs, including the Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Health, Master of Arts in International Relations and executive-level degrees for experienced professionals.

Bradley is only one of three institutions in the nation (and the only university in the Midwest) with such a partnership with The Maxwell School.

“This partnership reflects Bradley’s commitment to opening doors for our students long after they complete their undergraduate degree,” said Dr. Dan Moon, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “The Maxwell School sets the national standard in public affairs education. Through this agreement, our students and alumni will have access to world-class graduate programs that prepare them for leadership in public service, global engagement and policy.”

“Students interested in careers in public service, international affairs or public health deserve every advantage in pursuing that path,” said Leonard Lopoo, chair and associate dean of public administration and international affairs.  “We are delighted with this partnership and know it will give Bradley students and alumni a streamlined route to Maxwell’s graduate programs, where they can learn new skills, expand their networks, and move closer to achieving their career goals.”

The agreement provides:

  • Guaranteed admission for students and alumni who meet defined academic criteria
  • Significant tuition scholarships: 40% for professional master’s programs and 30% for executive programs
  • A waived $75 application fee
  • Access to personalized career advising through Maxwell’s Palmer Career Center

Bradley students may apply after completing at least 90 credit hours, and alumni are eligible to participate as long as the agreement remains in effect. Executive programs are designed for professionals with seven or more years of work experience.

The partnership offers an exciting option for students who want to pursue a career in public and international affairs, public health, public diplomacy and global communications, and/or sustainable organizations and policy.

With this new pathway, Bradley continues to expand opportunities that connect its students to nationally recognized institutions and impactful careers.
