Bradley Names Madison Maloof Head Coach of Inaugural Women’s Ice Hockey Team

Bradley University has named Madison (Maddy) Maloof as the inaugural head coach of its Women’s Ice Hockey Premier Club team, which will begin competition in fall 2026.

A Bradley alumna, business leader and lifelong ice hockey player, Maloof will lead one of five new women’s Premier Club Sports being introduced over the next two academic years. Women’s Ice Hockey, Women’s Flag Football and Women’s Soccer will launch during the 2026-2027 academic year, followed by STUNT and Women’s Wrestling.

“Madison brings tremendous passion for hockey, strong leadership skills and a deep connection to Bradley,” said Craig Dahlquist, Director of Premier Club Sports. “As we expand opportunities for women through our Premier Club Sports initiative, she is the right person to build this program and create an outstanding experience for our student-athletes.”

Women’s ice hockey continues to grow nationally and internationally, with increasing participation and expanding collegiate opportunities. Bradley’s Women’s Hockey Premier Club will provide student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level while building community, leadership and school spirit.

“I am incredibly honored to return to Bradley and help launch women’s hockey,” Maloof said. “As both an alumna and passionate hockey player, the opportunity to help coach other women that love this sport is so meaningful to me. I look forward to building a program that gives student-athletes a place to compete, grow and create lasting connections through this incredible sport. The chance to help grow women’s hockey in the community is an honor.”

Maloof earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Bradley in 2015. She currently serves as managing broker for Maloof Commercial Real Estate in Peoria and has extensive experience in leadership, operations and relationship building. She has played ice hockey since the age of nine and currently serves as assistant captain for the WCHL Division I Flatlanders.

The expansion of Premier Club Sports is made possible through the Nick and Nancy Owens Excellence Fund, established through a generous $1 million gift from Nick Owens ’67 and Nancy Owens. The fund honors their children, Nicholas Owens ’01 and Natalie Owens, and recognizes Bradley Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, Dr. Chris Reynolds’ dedication to advancing women’s athletics and women’s club sports at Bradley.
