Bradley Announces Transformational Investment in Residential Life

Bradley University has announced a comprehensive investment in residential life and the student experience, highlighted by the complete transformation of Harper Hall, which will complement a series of campus improvements designed to support student success, well-being, and belonging.

The $25 million housing initiative represents the most significant investment in student housing at Bradley in decades.

“At Bradley, we have always evolved to meet the needs of our students while remaining grounded in our mission and values,” said President James Shadid. “These investments reflect our commitment to providing students with modern living and learning environments that support academic success, foster community, and prepare Bradley for generations to come.”

At the center of the initiative is the complete renovation of Harper Hall, which will begin this fall and is expected to be completed in fall 2028. The project will transform one of Bradley’s signature residence halls with modern suite-style and single-room living options, private in-suite bathrooms, study lounges, collaboration spaces, wellness rooms, and vibrant community areas.

“Where students live plays an important role in how they learn, connect, and excel,” Shadid said. “The reimagined Harper Hall will provide the spaces today’s students seek while preserving the close-knit community that has long defined the Bradley experience.”

As part of the long-term vision for residential life, Wyckoff Hall will be taken offline and demolished to better align housing inventory with student needs, as well as create opportunities for additional outdoor green space.

The initiative builds upon a series of recent and planned investments across campus that support Bradley’s commitment to providing a premier student experience, including renovations to Williams Dining Hall, Olin Hall, Neumiller Hall, and the Michel Student Center, as well as upcoming projects such as the Zaleski Recreation Center, Goldin Gateway, University Hall improvements, and a centralized mail and package center in Heitz Hall.
