I. Purpose

This procedure is used by Bradley University end users to notify the University that their account may have been compromised.

II. Description

The account holder can notify Information Technology (IT) of a potential account compromise in the following ways:

  • In person at the IT Service Desk in the Cullom-Davis Library. A government-issued picture ID is required to verify identity. Acceptable IDs include state-issued driver license, state-issued ID card, or US government-issued student Visa. The account is secured and an account validation letter is printed and handed to the individual.
  • By phone or email to the IT Service Desk. The account holder will need to verify their identity by participating in a video call and showing one of the above listed government-issued photo IDs.

    The user should provide their BUnetID and a date and time they suspect the account was compromised.

    III. Scope

    This procedure applies to all Bradley University end users.
