Complete the printable, mail-in Voter Registration Form and mail to the Election Authority District in which the student resides.
Complete a paper Voter Registration form in person at your local County Clerk or Board of Elections Office. Visit the Elections Authorities website to find your local office.
Only one of the above methods is required to complete voter registration. Once registration is complete you will receive your voter registration card by mail. Students may check their voter registration status using the Registration Lookup page.
*If you have moved or need to change your voter registration information you must resubmit the Voter Registration Form to your local County Clerk or Board of Elections Office. This includes changes to your name and or address.
The State of Illinois’ deadline for voter registration is 27 days prior to an election. If you missed the registration deadline, follow the grace period registration guidelines.
