2012 Robison Lecture Presented by Author Joe Klein
Noted author will headline the October 18, 2012 Robison Lecture

Mr. Joe Klein, nationally acclaimed novelist, will be the Robison Lecturer on Thursday, October 18, 2012, 7:30 p.m. in the Michel Student Center Ballroom.
Mr. Klein’s presentation is brought to Bradley University by The Department of Communication and the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Committee.
A reception for Mr. Klein will be held immediately following the lecture in the Atrium of the Michel Student Center.

Author and Columnist
TIME magazine columnist and bestselling author Joe Klein will be the featured speaker at this fall’s Robison Lectureship Series.
Klein’s weekly column “In the Arena” covers domestic and international affairs ranging from campaigns to healthcare. It won a National Headliner Award for best magazine column in 2004
A veteran of 10 presidential campaigns, Klein wrote the bestseller “Primary Colors: A Novel of Politics” as “Anonymous.” It later became a major motion picture. His other books include “The Running Mate,” “The Natural: The Misunderstood Presidency of Bill Clinton” and “Politics Lost,” an analysis of the last 35 years of American politics. His next book will explore “The New Greatest Generation” of veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
A former Guggenheim Fellow, Klein is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a frequent guest on The Chris Matthews Show, CNN and MSNBC. Early in his career, Klein wrote for Rolling Stone, New York, Newsweek and The New Yorker. His popular TIME blog, “Swampland,” is read internationally.
Since the Robison Lectureship Series began in 1988, the Department of Communication has hosted more than 30 journalists and journalism educators. This year’s lecture is co-sponsored by the Bradley University Intellectual and Cultural Activities Committee.
