An exhibition featuring 27 of Keith Carter’s black and white silver gelatin prints from the series, A Certain Alchemy are on display in Heuser Art Gallery. A Certain Alchemy originates from the Wittliff Collections, an archive and creative center at Texas State University in San Marcos. This exhibition has been made possible by the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Committee at Bradley University, and by The Bunn Lectureship in Photography, an endowment from Bradley alums Jacob and Lorrie Bunn.
This series provides an enriching educational experience to students through their direct interaction with the exhibition, lecture, and the visiting professional through workshops and critiques. A Texas native, Carter serves as professor and Wales Chair in Visual and Performing Arts at Lamar University, Texas. He is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose work can be found in the collections of the George Eastman House, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the National Gallery of Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
