06/28/2010 10:32 AM
Thursday, March 11, 5:00-6:00 pm in the Horowitz Auditorium, room 126, Caterpillar Global Communications Center.
The Visual Voices lecture series, hosted by the Department of Art is proud to bring Gail Anderson to speak at Bradley and to meet with graduate and undergraduate graphic design students. Gail was senior art director at Rolling Stone from 1987-2002. Her work contributed to the eclectic typographic trends that thrived in the 1990s and defined the expressive typographic look the magazine was known for. In 2002 she joined SpotCo, one of the largest entertainment design agencies in New York, where she is now creative director of design, and for half a dozen years her poster designs for scores of Broadway and off-Broadway plays have illuminated bus shelters, subway stations and billboards. Gail Anderson is the recipient of the 2008 AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) medal for professional achievement.
