Author Ken Zurski will talk about “Peoria Stories,” his latest book, on December 2, at 7 p.m. in the Wyckoff Room of Bradley University’s Cullom-Davis Library. Sponsored by the Friends of Cullom-Davis Library, the program is free and open to the public. Zurski also will sign copies for sale.
The book includes stories of such famous figures as Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, Charles Lindberg, and others not so famous who feature in the rich history of Peoria and central Illinois. By intertwining interesting personalities with such historical milestones as the rise of the automobile, first flights and radio’s early days Zurski provides a broader perspective on the past.
Zurski’s book “The Wreck of the Columbia” was released in 2012.
