Bradley Launches Kemper History Project

Project will chronicle Professional Development School history

05/06/2016 11:00 AM

Bradley University’s College of Education and Health Sciences has launched the Kemper History Project, a collaborative writing project to document the College’s professional development school (PDS) initiatives, programs, and projects from 1995 to 2016 in partnership with the William T. Kemper Foundation.

The project will result in a detailed, chronological history of Bradley’s Kemper PDS work over its 22 years. Fifteen writers will record key events and eight proofreaders will check details for accuracy.

The chronological history will be supplemented by stakeholder reflections and other information. Past and present Bradley PDS stakeholders are invited to contribute to the project through September 30, 2016.

Contributors may offer the following:

  • Informal reflections of their involvement in Bradley’s Kemper Project. Selected contributions will be used in the chronological history.
  • Photographs or other primary documents, accompanied with a detailed explanation of who, when, where and why. Selected contributions will be used to supplement the chronological history.
  • Brief (300 to 1,000 words) narratives of specific experiences or events related to the Kemper Project, with accompanying photos if possible. Selected narratives will be published as independent sidebar stories throughout the chronological history and will include the byline of the contributor(s).

Please submit materials through the online submission system. The history will be published on the PDS website. All project participants will be recognized.
